BLAZE® is the First POS Compliant with New Colorado Purchase Limits

It’s a new year and that means new regulations. Colorado has already made some drastic updates. New Colorado purchase limits for medical patients need to be reported to METRC to maintain compliance. At BLAZE, we put your compliance first! We saw this change coming and we were prepared on Jan. 1st, 2022.  We are currently the only cannabis POS provider that is compliant with these new medical purchase limits. Can you really afford to wait 4-6 weeks while your POS catches up?

Don’t risk your license on compliance mishaps

Compliance is the most important part of your business. At BLAZE our compliance team works to keep abreast of all changes in regulations and makes sure our software has everything it needs to keep you running at the pace you need.

Your license is your livelihood, and we are here to help you protect it. These Colorado purchase limits changes are now implemented into our POS software to mitigate overselling; potentially putting your business at risk.

The amount of cannabis concentrate a patient can purchase in one day has changed from 40 grams to 8 grams. Patients under 18 are allowed to purchase 2 grams of cannabis concentrate.

Our POS will prevent transactions that exceed the daily purchase limit for medical patients across all your locations. These changes apply to both storefront and cannabis delivery services so using a POS system that is fully compliant is imperative.

Overselling is one of the most severe violations according to the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division. Knowing your dispensary POS keeps you compliant will allow you to focus on building your brand and improving the customer experience.

We understand the importance of compliance and continue to stay ahead of evolving regulations in Colorado and beyond. If you have any questions about this new functionality or our best-in-class software, please email support at support@blaze.me.

Stay compliant by switching to BLAZE today!
